Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
ScrollVolt ("the app") is built so that your data stays on your device. We do not run servers that receive your data, we do not have user accounts, and we do not sell, share or track you.
iOS: Screen Time data
The app uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings and DeviceActivity) to block and unblock the apps, categories and websites you choose. Apple only gives the app anonymous tokens for your selections — the app cannot see which apps they are, and your app usage is processed entirely on your device. This data is never transmitted off your device.
Android: Accessibility Service
On Android, ScrollVolt uses the Accessibility Service API to detect which app is currently opened. It uses only the package name of the app in the foreground, and only to show the ScrollVolt screen when you open an app you chose to limit while your scroll battery is empty or a focus session is locked. ScrollVolt does not read, record or collect any content on your screen, keystrokes or other personal data through this service, and nothing is transmitted off your device. You enable the service yourself in Android settings after an in-app explanation, and you can disable it at any time.
The list of installed apps is read only on your device so you can choose which apps to limit; it is never transmitted.
Data stored on your device
Your name (if you enter one), your goals, battery settings, session history and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Delete my data, removes it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push notification service is used.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Analytics and tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from them.
Feedback
If you choose to send feedback, it is submitted through the support page you open in your browser and contains only what you write.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
